Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has announced plans to release her solo debut album. The singer will follow in her bandmates, Nadine Coyle and Cheryl Cole's footsteps as she embarks on her solo career. The group took a break in 2009 and since then, Cheryl Cole has released two solo albums as well as Nadine Coyle who released her debut solo album late last year. Nicola's first single, 'Beat of My Drum' will be released today and will be available for download in June.

Nicola also revealed that her debut album will be called 'Cinderella's Eyes' and it will be released in the Autumn. The album will be preceded by single 'Beat on My Drum, which will be released on itunes on June 5th. Click here to pre-order the track. Click here to pre-order the album.
