Hip-hop Royalty and doting father, Jay-Z has spoken of his hopes for daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Jay told The New York Times that he wants his daughter to have a better childhood than what he did and she certainly will with both parents being global megastars. He had this to say about his upbringing:
"We would fight each other," he said. "My brother would beat me up.
"I was going to have to fight, I was going to have to go through some things, and they were preparing me."

And said this about his baby Blue:
"She doesn't have to be tough," he said. "She has to love herself, she has to know who she is, she has to be respectful, and be a moral person."
