The MTV VMA's didn't come without its controversy this year, with Drake and Chris Brown forced to make up by host Kevin Hart to rumoured drama between one-time-bff's Nicki Minaj and Rihanna. According to social analytics company, Trendrr, the event has he most social media mentions for any programme in 2012 and all-time (excluding political events). The TV event scored 19,175,032 mentions across Facebook, Twitter, GetGlue and Viggle. The event is bigger than the 2012 Superbowl where Madonna performed along with Nicki Minaj, LMFAO amongst others and the Grammys. Both events scored 2nd place and 3rd respectively.
